Who bills to ICBC?Only certain practitioners are signed up to direct bill to ICBC. If you book one of our preset ICBC appointments then you will automatically be paired with a practitioner who bills direct for ICBC treatments. Another option is to look on a practitioners profile to check if they are set up with ICBC.
Booking our ICBC appointmentsAt our clinic there are specified ICBC appointments to choose from; they will be marked as an initial or a subsequent.
Initial appointments are the first treatment you have using that claim #. ICBC only pays for an initial appointment once for each claim, per treatment discipline; which means that if you've already used the initial appointment at another clinic you will need to book a subsequent ICBC appointment with us. No Shows and late cancellationsICBC does not cover no show or late cancellation fees. If there is an outstanding balance on your account, the clinic reserves the right to cancel future appointments until the full amount owing has been paid.

The Intake ProcessWhen you arrive for your first appointment you will be required to fill out an ICBC specific intake form; you will need to have your ICBC claim # with you at this time. This is not the same as our online intake form, although the appropriate intake for the treatment you are receiving will still need to be filled out as well.
It is recommended that you show up a minimum of 15 minutes early for your first ICBC treatment. Doctor referralsAlthough having a doctor referral is not typically needed for the original 12 appointments, you will need to acquire one if you wish to apply for an extension.
Can I book other appointment lengths? Our preset ICBC appointments are meant to prevent patients from booking with a practitioner who does not bill to ICBC or a service that is not covered by ICBC. If you wish to book a longer treatment you may still use ICBC direct billing, but the additional cost will be at the patient's own expense and will not be reimbursed.

Not a guarantee..
Direct billing to ICBC is a courtesy service and claims are not guaranteed to be approved or paid by ICBC. It is the patient's responsibility to pay for all unpaid treatments should direct billing problems occur.
